We have recently updated the way one can scroll through images on our web site. The new method utilizes the YUI Carousel Control, which provides a widget for browsing among a set of like objects arrayed vertically or horizontally in an overloaded page region.
Instead of a scroll bar below the images, we now have an arrow place to the left and right of a set of three images. Simply click on either of the arrows to view more work. To see this in action, please click here.
We would love to hear your feedback on the new browsing method.

The VERVE Gallery team.
You might consider putting the arrows next to the single, large pictures as well.
ReplyDeleteHey David - Thanks so much for your input! Great Idea! I'll implement that functionality tomorrow, so long as my wife does not go into labor tonight! She is due on Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteHey David, I have implemented the suggested change and would like to know what you think. Cheers, Wilson
ReplyDeleteApparently, your design works properly on Firefox and Microsoft browsers but is quirky on Google Chrome. For example, when you click to go to a gallery you get a thin vertical non-picture with a cryptic small "info" or "enlarge" option. Once enlarged all is ok but I nearly gave up trying to figure out how to view the artist's pictures.
ReplyDeleteSuggest you try Google Chrome and see if you have the same problem.

Dear Richard, Thanks for making us aware of this issue with Chrome on a PC (it works great on a Mac with Chrome). We will get this fixed as soon as we can. Cheers, Wilson
